Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have officially become husband and wife after exchanging vows in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Portugal.
The Little Mix star and the former England international footballer, both 32, said “I do” at the picturesque Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in Faro on Saturday, surrounded by around 70 of their closest friends and family.
Perrie looked breathtaking as she arrived at the 16th-century church in a vintage white Mercedes convertible. The singer wore an elegant white lace gown paired with gold earrings, while six bridesmaids, including her sister Caitlin, followed behind in matching sky-blue silk dresses.
Her father, Alexander, proudly escorted his daughter up the aisle as the church, decorated with white chrysanthemums, welcomed guests with music from a five-piece orchestra.
Meanwhile, Alex cut a sophisticated figure in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, accompanied by his father Mark Chamberlain and brother Christian.
Several of the footballer’s former teammates, including Danny Welbeck, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed, were among the guests celebrating the couple’s special day.
After a 30-minute service, the newlyweds emerged hand in hand to cheers from their loved ones, who showered them with white petals. Multicoloured smoke filled the sky as the celebrations continued in the village square, with Louis Armstrong’s iconic song What a Wonderful World playing in the background.
Despite the glamour, the couple deliberately kept the occasion low-key. Perrie had previously admitted that deciding on the guest list had been stressful, revealing: “It keeps me awake at night.”
Earlier this year, she also hinted that preparations were coming together perfectly, saying: “I tried on the dress the other day and I’m so happy with it.”
The wedding comes just four months after the couple welcomed their second child, daughter Alanis. They are also parents to four-year-old son Axel.
An insider revealed that the pair had been eagerly anticipating the milestone.
“It’s been ten years since she started dating Alex and since then they have had their gorgeous son and daughter, and they couldn’t be happier,” the source said.
The insider added: “It’s very intimate and everything that Perrie and Alex have ever wanted.”
Ahead of the ceremony, the couple spent time with their children in Quinta do Lago, where friends and relatives stayed at the luxurious Conrad Algarve hotel.
Their final evening before tying the knot was spent enjoying a relaxed family night, while guests gathered nearby for pizza, pasta and cocktails.
The celebrations later moved to Parrilla Natural in Vale do Lobo, where friends and family continued partying late into the evening.
Perrie and Alex first began dating in 2016 and became engaged in 2022 after the footballer proposed during a romantic beach walk. After ten years together and two children, the couple have finally sealed their love story with a dream wedding in the Portuguese sunshine.
