“Where Did Dan Go?” TV Star Returns with Helen Skelton as Romance Rumours Swirl

Dan Walker and Helen Skelton are officially returning to Channel 5 with a brand-new series of their travel show – despite recent concerns over Dan’s disappearance from TV and Helen’s blossoming romance with Gethin Jones.

After the success of their first Yorkshire-based adventure, the duo quietly began filming the second series. Dan, 48, who had urged fans to share their love for the programme last year, is now back on the road with Helen, 41, and ready for more breathtaking views and biscuit-fuelled hikes.

“Everywhere we go we see breathtaking views, meet brilliant characters and uncover those hidden gems,” Dan shared. “Getting to do it all with Helen guarantees plenty of laughs. Boots on, brew in hand and pockets full of biscuits. We are ready for whatever Yorkshire throws at us!”

TV bosses are equally thrilled. An insider revealed: “Dan and Helen’s chemistry on air is plain to see – it’s like watching two mates hanging out. They’ve become viewer favourites and the show just works.”

The first series saw the pair explore the moorlands, Malham Cove, and charming Brontë villages. Their onscreen friendship captivated viewers, but it’s Helen’s off-screen connection with Morning Live co-host Gethin Jones that’s recently grabbed headlines.

Sources close to the show claim their professional relationship has evolved into a romance in recent months. “They’re keeping things low-key to avoid scrutiny,” said one insider, “but the chemistry is undeniable.”

Meanwhile, Dan recently addressed fan panic after he vanished from both Channel 5 and Classic FM. He confirmed he’s been on holiday and filming the new show, reassuring everyone he hasn’t quit: “The radio I’ll be back on Monday and I’ll return to 5 News in a couple of weeks.”

The upcoming series is set to air this September, promising more heartwarming adventures and Yorkshire charm from one of Channel 5’s most loved duos.
