Katie Price has reportedly taken a dramatic step towards closing the chapter on her turbulent marriage to Lee Andrews after holding an emotional face-to-face meeting with his former partner, Dina Taji, in Dubai.
The former glamour model travelled to the UAE this week amid growing concerns over Lee’s legal troubles and imprisonment. However, rather than focusing solely on her husband’s situation, Katie arranged what insiders described as a “woman-to-woman” conversation with Dina — the woman who previously accused Lee of using her identity to secure a substantial mortgage without her knowledge.
The meeting came at a pivotal moment for Katie, who is said to have finally accepted that her marriage to Lee may be beyond saving.
According to reports, Katie and Dina spent hours talking privately after initially connecting over concerns surrounding Lee’s alleged behaviour. Their conversation was filmed, with Katie hinting that details may later be revealed through her podcast.
Speaking in a teaser clip, Katie explained: “Women stick together and I came to Dina about one of the cases because I thought is Dina involved?
“Then obviously we had a cup of tea as girls do, we’ve had a long chat and that’s for us to know and for you to find out in the future. On that note I’m glad we met.”
Dina also made it clear that any concerns she wished to share would be delivered privately rather than through the media.
She said: “Just out of respect, if there’s anything I wanted to share and kind of warn her about anything it would be woman-to-woman, face-to-face.
“I don’t care about coming on here and all this noise that’s happening.”
The meeting followed long-standing allegations involving Lee and a mortgage reportedly taken out in Dina’s name without her knowledge. After discovering the situation, Dina launched legal proceedings, which ultimately resulted in travel restrictions being imposed on Lee in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Katie has been attempting to navigate her husband’s increasingly serious legal predicament. Earlier this week, she visited him at Al Awir Central Prison, where he remains detained amid fraud allegations.
Sources claim Katie was informed that a large sum of money would need to be paid before Lee could potentially secure his release. The reality star has reportedly concluded that paying such a figure herself would be financially reckless and is now preparing for the possibility that Lee could remain behind bars for a significant period.
A source close to Katie revealed that she has been left devastated by the unfolding situation.
“Katie is in pieces. To the outside world she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside she can’t believe how Lee has made her look.
“He’s pulled the wool over lots of people’s eyes – especially women. And now, as it’s all being played out in the public eye, she’s at the forefront of the con.”
The insider added that Katie is increasingly accepting that divorce may now be inevitable.
“Lee is stuck inside that hellhole of a prison. And unless she or someone else stumps tens of thousands of pounds to get him out, he won’t be released any time soon.
“Katie is so confused, but ultimately it looks like she will be heading to the divorce court once again.”
During her stay in Dubai, Katie also shared updates about her attempts to stay in contact with Lee, revealing that she had finally obtained a prison phone number that allowed him to call her directly.
She told followers: “I’m feeling knackered today, I’m excited, but excited for what? Because I don’t know if I’m seeing Lee but at least I now know he can ring me.”
As Katie returned to the UK following her meeting with Dina, friends believe the reality star is now beginning to prepare for life without Lee, despite only marrying him earlier this year.
The businessman’s past relationships have also come under renewed scrutiny. Before marrying Katie, Lee was reportedly involved with Dina for around four years before moving on to another fiancée, Alana Percival, whom he proposed to just months before eventually tying the knot with Katie.
With Lee remaining in prison and fresh revelations continuing to emerge, Katie now finds herself facing yet another personal crisis — one that could ultimately bring an abrupt end to her latest marriage.
