Victoria Beckham and David Beckham made a carefully watched public appearance together in Paris on Monday, presenting a united front just days after their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham delivered a damning statement confirming he has cut ties with his famous family.
Hand in hand, the couple emerged from the five-star La Réserve Paris hotel ahead of Haute Couture Fashion Week, joined by three of their four children — Romeo, Cruz and 13-year-old Harper — in what marked the family’s first public outing since Brooklyn’s explosive claims.

The appearance coincides with a major personal milestone for Victoria, who this week is set to be named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France’s most prestigious cultural honours. Bestowed by the French Ministry of Culture, the accolade recognises outstanding contributions to the arts and culture, placing the former Spice Girl alongside past recipients including Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, Denis Villeneuve and Jude Law.

Despite the family turmoil, there was no visible sign of strain as David led the group toward a waiting car, appearing focused and composed following his surprise appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos just days earlier. Victoria, dressed in a semi-sheer black evening gown, cut an elegant figure, while Harper echoed her mother’s understated palette in a black dress.

Romeo and Cruz were accompanied by their girlfriends Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel, adding to the sense of solidarity surrounding Victoria at what is arguably one of the most significant moments of her post-music career.

Brooklyn’s absence, however, loomed large. The 26-year-old influencer, now based in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz, has already skipped a string of family milestones — including David’s 50th birthday celebrations, the London launch of Victoria’s Netflix project, and David’s investiture at Windsor Castle last November.

In his recent statement, Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling media narratives and prioritising public image over authentic relationships, insisting that life with Nicola has brought him “peace and relief” after years of anxiety. David and Victoria have so far declined to respond publicly, maintaining a stoic silence as speculation continues to swirl.

For now, Paris offered a powerful image: a family closing ranks, rallying around Victoria as she receives one of the highest cultural honours of her career — even as fractures behind the scenes remain painfully unresolved.
