Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s new Disney+ series is set to show that life behind the glossy Chelsea image is far from perfect, with the couple caught in a raw and emotional showdown in the first Raising Chelsea trailer.
In the dramatic clip, Sophie, 31, is seen breaking down in tears as she confronts Jamie over what she calls his “unacceptable” behaviour. As tensions erupt between them, Jamie, 37, stands in the doorway and tells her: “I’m stressed, I am tired.” But Sophie is clearly unwilling to let the issue slide, firing back: “But you just go behind my back, that’s so unacceptable.”

The trailer cuts away before viewers see how Jamie responds, leaving plenty of questions over what sparked the clash. But the moment makes it clear that Raising Chelsea will not just be about sweet baby moments and polished reality-TV glamour — it will also lay bare the cracks, conflict and pressure inside their marriage.
The couple, who first got together in 2019 and later married, have often joked publicly about their relationship dynamic, with Sophie usually painted as the one in charge. That theme also appears in the trailer, with Jamie admitting: “The dynamic between Sophie and I, she’s the boss and I’m the intern.”

Yet the series takes an even more emotional turn when it follows Sophie’s pregnancy and the frightening complications surrounding the birth of their son, Ziggy. In one of the most dramatic moments, Jamie reveals the seriousness of the situation while at the hospital, saying: “Bad news is that the baby, his arm is through the cervix. She needs to have an emergency c-section.”
The tone then shifts from fiery argument to sheer fear and heartbreak as the couple prepare to meet their baby under emergency circumstances. Jamie is seen kissing Sophie gently on the forehead as he reassures her, “It’s alright you got this. You got this,” while she lies in hospital ready for surgery.

As Ziggy is born and takes his first breath, both Jamie and Sophie are overwhelmed with emotion and burst into tears. In a touching moment, Sophie says: “I’ve never been so excited to meet somebody in my whole life.”
The three-part Disney+ series promises to capture every side of their journey — from blazing rows and emotional strain to the terrifying birth that changed everything. Raising Chelsea begins streaming next month.
