JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have taken their blossoming romance public in the most affectionate way – just as JoJo’s ex Kath Ebbs appeared to throw subtle shade over how their relationship ended.
The couple, who first grew close during their time together on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, celebrated National Girlfriends Day by calling each other “girlfriend” and “universe” in loved-up social media tributes.
Chris, 32, posted a cosy snap of him and JoJo, 22, cuddled up on a sofa with the simple caption: “This is my GF.” He then followed up with a series of Snapchat stories, one of which read: “National GF day so here so is, my universe.”
JoJo shared her own tribute on Instagram, gushing: “Happy National Girlfriends Day to me… Lucky, lucky girl I am,” alongside a pic of the pair snuggling.
Their posts come shortly after JoJo’s ex-partner Kath, 27, went public with their new relationship with AFLW star Tilly Lucas-Rodd. In a photo booth snap posted Thursday, Kath wrote: “The rumours are true! YES I still (stupidly) believe in love!!” – a line many fans saw as a dig at their abrupt split from JoJo.
Kath previously revealed that JoJo ended their relationship during the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party. “I flew out to support her, and I was dumped at the party,” Kath recalled. “She told me she had confused feelings and that I wasn’t the one she wanted to spend her future with.”
JoJo later explained the situation in an interview on This Morning, saying: “It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t intentional. I was going to speak to Kath before the party but things moved fast. They asked me if I was happy, and I said no – and the conversation just happened.”
While fans are still split over who’s in the right, JoJo and Chris appear to be moving full steam ahead, with their latest posts seemingly confirming their status as a couple.
