Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has spoken out with raw honesty as the reality of ITV’s brutal daytime cuts hits home — and she didn’t hold back. In an emotional YouTube video, the long-time panellist opened up about her fear of losing her job and the devastation behind the scenes.

ITV recently confirmed that Loose Women, Lorraine, and This Morning will all be reduced in airtime and production, triggering widespread redundancies. The changes include Loose Women only airing 30 weeks a year, and merging production teams — moves that have left staff and stars alike shaken.
“I could be let go tomorrow,” Nadia admitted through tears. “Every contract is a new one. We’re not employees — we’re self-employed. No one knows what’s coming.”
The TV star, known for her candidness and wit, expressed deep sorrow for her off-screen colleagues who are suddenly facing unemployment. “It’s been worse than anything trolls have ever said,” she said. “People I’ve worked with for decades are walking around in shock.”

Nadia called for kindness and compassion toward the production teams that audiences don’t often see, adding: “When you attack the show, you attack them. You don’t realise how hard they work.”
Fans were quick to rally behind her online, applauding her vulnerability and courage to speak out while others stayed silent.
Despite ITV issuing a statement denying any radical reshuffles, insisting all current panellists are still valued, the atmosphere behind the scenes is reportedly tense and uncertain.
In a moment of brutal honesty, Nadia concluded: “Right now, I’m just on for my next contract. That’s all I know. And it’s terrifying.”
