Johannes Radebe is reportedly on the verge of landing a huge new role on Strictly Come Dancing after impressing BBC bosses during behind-the-scenes chemistry tests for the show’s brand new presenting line-up.
The South African dancer, affectionately known by fans as JoJo, is said to have emerged as the surprise favourite during auditions as the BBC continues reshaping the future of the beloved dance competition following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
According to insiders, Johannes wowed producers with his natural rapport alongside celebrities and fellow presenters — with many now convinced the role is already his.

A source claimed: “Everyone involved in the auditions — including the celebs — are saying the job is going to JoJo.
“During the chemistry tests he was paired up with every other celeb and did incredibly well.
“They all think he would be the perfect partner for Emma.”
Meanwhile, Emma Willis is reportedly preparing to officially accept the BBC’s offer this week, with an announcement on the revamped presenting line-up expected in the coming days.
Although Johannes has already been confirmed as returning to the professional dancer roster for the next series, insiders insist that doesn’t rule out a major on-screen promotion.

One insider explained: “There’s been talk of having him as a roving reporter.
“He knows the dances better than anyone and is incredibly popular with Strictly fans.
“Whether he’s going to be a host like Emma or take a slightly different presenting role is being ironed out.”
The move comes after months of speculation surrounding who would replace veteran hosts Tess and Claudia, who shocked viewers when they announced they were stepping down last year after becoming one of British television’s most iconic presenting duos.
Several famous names had reportedly been considered for the shake-up, including Rylan Clark, Angela Scanlon, Alex Jones and Zoe Ball.

However, reports now suggest those stars have been ruled out — while comedian Josh Widdicombe remains in the running for a role within the refreshed presenting team.
Johannes first joined Strictly back in 2018 and quickly became one of the programme’s most beloved professionals thanks to his emotional routines, infectious personality and groundbreaking partnerships.
In 2021, he and John Waite made Strictly history as the show’s first all-male pairing to reach the final — a landmark moment widely praised by viewers.
The dancer has also partnered stars including Catherine Tyldesley and Annabel Croft during his time on the show.
The BBC has so far remained tight-lipped on the rumours, simply stating: “Plans for Strictly 2026 will be confirmed in due course.”
