Sophie Kasaei has opened up about a deeply personal journey — and the unexpected discovery that may finally make her dream of becoming a mother come true.
The Geordie Shore star and her partner Jordan Brooks, known for their appearances on The Only Way Is Essex, shared their two-year fertility battle in an emotional video on Instagram. Sitting close together, Sophie began, “We’ve waited to share this because we wanted to be sure where we stood… and now we finally have answers.”

The couple revealed that Sophie was diagnosed with Ureaplasma, an often-untested bacterial infection linked to infertility. “I had never even heard of it,” she said. “In the UK, it’s not standard to test for it — but it could have stopped us from ever having a baby.”
The good news? A simple course of antibiotics cleared the infection. But the rollercoaster didn’t stop there.
Back in the UK, further immunology testing revealed Sophie and Jordan are a partial DQ alpha match — a condition that can complicate embryo implantation. “It sounds scary, but it’s treatable,” Sophie explained. “At least now we know what we’re dealing with.”

Fans were quick to react with support, many praising Sophie’s transparency. The couple also expressed gratitude for discovering the fertility clinic Fertilysis, saying they wished they’d known about it sooner.
With new treatments ahead — including a trip to Athens for the next phase — the couple are holding on to hope. “We can finally see light after such a long road,” Sophie said. “We’re not giving up.”
