Helen Mirren and Andie MacDowell turned the L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth red carpet into a masterclass in fearless ageing on Tuesday night, proving once again that glamour has no expiration date.
The Hollywood icons stepped out at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, celebrating the event’s 20th anniversary. Both actresses proudly showcased their natural grey hair—a visual declaration of confidence that instantly became the night’s standout message.

Helen, 80, stunned in a shimmering long-sleeved blue sequin gown, paired with a matching handbag and sparkling drop earrings. Her sleek silver bob and polished makeup completed a look that was effortlessly regal.

Andie, 67, who has long refused to feel “shameful” about ageing, stole the spotlight in a daring maroon backless gown with a plunging neckline and cold-shoulder sleeves. Her voluminous grey curls framed her beaming smile as she posed for photographers. She has said many times that criticism of her grey hair “makes me laugh,” insisting she wants to “look like I’m supposed to look” instead of chasing youth.

Elsewhere on the carpet, Kendall Jenner, 30, lit up the event in a snowy white thigh-slit gown, joined by mom Kris, 70, who dazzled in festive red. The duo helped usher in the holiday season in full glamour mode.
L’Oréal marked its 20th year honouring changemakers with mentorship, global visibility and a $25,000 grant. Among this year’s recipients were Yasmine Arrington Brooks, Amy Bowers Cordalis, Mizpah Brown-Rich, Keely Cat-Wells, Sloane Davidson, Lynn B. Hughes, Anita Ravi, Christina Rodriguez, Gloria Umanah and Olivia Zhang.

Andie’s message on ageing—shared in September during Drew Barrymore’s 50 F** Its* segment—echoed loudly on this carpet. She has insisted she’s “tired of trying to be young,” adding that pretending otherwise is “a charade” she no longer wishes to maintain.
Meanwhile, Helen has been busy filming Season 2 of MobLand with Pierce Brosnan. The pair were recently spotted shooting new scenes at Scott’s in Mayfair, where Helen—playing the formidable matriarch Maeve Harrigan—was wrapped in a chic faux-fur-trimmed coat, looking every bit the commanding mob boss’ wife.

Brosnan, 72, matched her presence in a sharp grey pin-striped suit and long wool overcoat. The cast filmed alfresco dining scenes and shared laughs between takes as the storyline of the bloody power struggle between rival families heads into its next explosive chapter.
Helen capped off her evening by sharing a wholesome moment with Heidi Klum as they posed together alongside fellow stars including Gillian Anderson, Aja Naomi King, Ariana Greenblatt and Kendall Jenner—closing out a night that celebrated beauty, power, and the freedom of ageing unapologetically.
