Rihanna was at home when a terrifying incident unfolded outside her Beverly Hills mansion after a woman allegedly fired several shots toward the property.
According to reports, the global superstar, 38, was inside the luxury residence on Sunday afternoon when the suspect opened fire from a vehicle parked near the house. Thankfully, the singer was not injured in the incident.
Law enforcement officers quickly responded and detained the suspect — described as a woman believed to be in her 30s — at the scene.
Authorities are now investigating what may have motivated the shooting. The motive remains unclear.
At the time of the frightening incident, it is not known whether Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky, 37, or their three young children — RZA, three, Riot, two, and five-month-old daughter Rocki — were also inside the home.
Photos from the scene showed yellow police tape surrounding the property while officers closed off the quiet street near the singer’s home.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky share the lavish Beverly Hills mansion with their children. The Fenty Beauty founder purchased the impressive property for around $14 million in 2021.
The five-bedroom home sits on a secluded cul-de-sac in the mountains and spans a massive 21,958-square-foot lot. Built in the 1930s, the property features seven bathrooms, an open-air courtyard and a swimming pool, while tall hedges provide privacy from the street.
The star’s glamorous neighbourhood is also home to several famous residents. Sir Paul McCartney lives just across the street, while Mariah Carey and Madonna are said to own properties nearby.
The home itself has a fascinating history — it was previously owned by Mary Sheldon, daughter of I Dream of Jeannie creator Sidney Sheldon.
Just last year, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky gave fans a rare glimpse inside their family life at the mansion. Photos shared online showed a warm, toy-filled home decorated with family portraits and playful touches for their children.
The couple, who began dating in 2020 after more than a decade of friendship, have built a growing family together in recent years.
They welcomed their first son, RZA, in May 2022, followed by Riot Rose in August 2023. Rihanna later confirmed her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala before giving birth to their daughter Rocki Irish in September.
Despite the alarming incident outside their home, Rihanna is believed to be safe as police continue to investigate what led to the shooting.
