Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has shown he’s not slowing down at 59 as he revealed his intense training regime for an upcoming Ironman challenge — and it appears he’s taking inspiration from his Olympic swimmer son-in-law Adam Peaty.
The Hell’s Kitchen star shared a striking shirtless snap on Instagram while preparing for the gruelling endurance race, proudly posing in swimming trunks at the Toronto Athletic Club pool in Canada.

Gordon is currently gearing up for an Ironman event set to take place later this year in Costa Navarino, Peloponnese, Greece — a punishing challenge that includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a full 26.22-mile marathon run all in one day.
His latest post suggested the swim portion of the race is well underway in his training schedule. The TV chef revealed impressive progress, sharing a screenshot from his fitness watch showing he had swum 2000 metres in just 33 minutes.
He also posted a video of his official race swimming cap, signalling his determination to push himself through one of the toughest endurance events in the world.
The training comes just months after Olympic swimming legend Adam Peaty officially became part of the Ramsay family, marrying Gordon’s daughter Holly Ramsay in December.

Adam, who has won three Olympic gold medals in breaststroke, has developed a remarkably close relationship with his famous father-in-law — a bond that has attracted significant attention amid reports of a bitter rift within the swimmer’s own family.
Speaking on Gaby Roslin’s Reasons To Be Joyful podcast, Gordon revealed that Adam has even started calling him “Dad”.
He said Adam often messages him saying: “Hey dad, what have you got? Hey dad, are you around later?” and admitted the moment left him stunned. Gordon added that Adam and Holly are a dream couple for him and his wife Tana.

The closeness between the two men has only grown stronger since Adam’s emotional wedding speech in which he declared he would “always choose” his wife Holly.
Gordon publicly supported the newlyweds at the time, writing beneath a clip of the ceremony: “Beautiful words @adamramsaypeaty @hollyramsaypeaty. True love. Congratulations. Love you both so much. Dad.”
The touching display of family unity came despite controversy surrounding Adam’s strained relationship with his own relatives.
The Olympic champion reportedly banned members of his family — including his parents Mark and Caroline — from attending the December wedding.
The decision sparked backlash from relatives, including Adam’s aunt Louise Williams, who criticised the swimmer in a furious online post.
She claimed Adam’s father had “worked his hands raw and bleeding” as a bricklayer to support his son’s swimming career, saying he endured long, exhausting days to help fund Adam’s dream.
While the family feud continues to make headlines, Gordon appears focused on pushing his own limits — trading the kitchen for the pool as he prepares for one of the most demanding endurance races on the planet.
