Sharon Osbourne Forces a Smile Through Heartbreak as the Family Don Matching Pyjamas for Their First Christmas Without Ozzy. Ozzy Hated Christmas… Now His Family Must Face It Without Him

Sharon Osbourne put on a brave front this Christmas as the Osbourne family came together for their most emotional festive season yet — their first without Ozzy Osbourne.

Fourteen family members and two dogs gathered at Sharon’s Buckinghamshire home, the same property where Ozzy is now buried, marking the occasion with a touching group photo. Dressed head-to-toe in matching navy, red and green tartan pyjamas, the clan leaned into togetherness, tradition and comfort during a holiday heavy with grief.

At the centre of the photo, Sharon Osbourne struck a playful pose, sticking out her tongue as she stood front and centre — a fleeting glimpse of humour amid the heartbreak.

Also pictured was her daughter Kelly Osbourne, 41, sitting on the floor alongside her husband, Slipknot star Sid Wilson, 48, and their three-year-old son, Sid. The intimate scene captured a family trying to create warmth and normality in the absence of its patriarch.

One notable absence was Jack Osbourne, who previously revealed during his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! that his father famously loathed Christmas. Ozzy was never cruel about the holiday, Jack said — just deeply unimpressed. He recalled his dad complaining about buying gifts for people he didn’t like, joking that Ozzy was more of an Ebenezer Scrooge figure with a shrug and a “who gives a s**t?” attitude rather than outright meanness.

Ozzy himself never hid his disdain. He once bluntly admitted he “f***ing hated Christmas”, railing against the consumerism and excess, and even confessing that during his wild years he once drank an entire barrel of booze before Christmas Eve arrived.

The Black Sabbath legend died of heart failure on July 22 at the age of 76 — just three weeks after performing a farewell gig with his bandmates in his hometown — leaving a void that this Christmas only amplified.

Kelly has since revealed that she plans to gift her mother a new puppy following the death of Sharon’s beloved Serbian Husky, Elvis, in October. She also shared that Ozzy’s eldest son Louis was set to take charge in the kitchen, with Kelly acting as sous chef, as the family aimed for a “proper English Christmas” — complete with crackers, the King’s speech, and everyone sitting together in front of the television.

Jack, meanwhile, spent Christmas in Los Angeles with his pregnant wife Aree Gearhart and their daughter Maple, with Sharon planning to fly out to be with him just two days after the holiday.

As Kelly admitted candidly, her hope for the day was simple and painfully human: she just wanted to get through Christmas without crying.
