Rylan Clark has addressed growing speculation about his relationship with close friend Rob Rinder, quipping that while they may seem like a couple, the romance is strictly fictional.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Rylan joked: “Contrary to popular belief, Rob Rinder isn’t the first person I speak to in the morning – but he is a very good friend of mine.” He added, “Everyone thinks we’re together. We’re like a married couple – we spend loads of time with each other and never have sex.”

The pair’s friendship blossomed while filming their show Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, which recently won a BAFTA for Best Factual Entertainment. Rylan, 36, described the filming process as “like therapy” after his painful split from ex-husband Dan Neal. Rob, who also went through a divorce in 2018, shared a similar emotional backdrop.
Reflecting on the experience, Rylan admitted: “It came at a really weird time. I still wasn’t over my marriage breakdown, and suddenly I’m off on a journey with a judge! But looking back, the show helped me restart my life.”

Despite fans hoping for a romantic spark, the bond remains platonic. Rylan said that filming the series showed “how raw” he was emotionally, and that viewers witnessed genuine vulnerability and healing.
Meanwhile, Rob, 47, revealed that people often express disappointment when they see him out without Rylan. The public’s obsession with their dynamic has only intensified.

As for Rylan’s actual mornings? They begin not with a phone call to Rob, but with “three or four cups” of decaf coffee and a collagen shake.
Now focused on love again, Rylan has launched a podcast How To Be in Love, documenting his journey to find “Mr Right.” His Eurovision co-host Scott Mills recently told The Mirror: “Rylan needs to find his version of Sam [my husband]. I know deep down he wants real love.”
Scott added reassuringly: “It took me a long time to find the right one. But when it’s right, it’s worth it.”
