Alex Scott has revealed she’s ready to marry her girlfriend Jess Glynne — and is simply waiting for the singer to pop the question.
The former Arsenal star, 41, opened her heart to her I’m A Celebrity campmates, telling them she is “madly in love” and has never known happiness like this before.
Alex explained how everything changed the moment she met Jess in May 2023. She told Ruby Wax: “She approached me in Chiltern Firehouse. I was in there with my friends and she just walked up to me. It was really ballsy and I was like, ‘I like your ballsiness’. The spark was just instant and then yeah… we fell madly in love.”
When Ruby asked whether marriage was on the horizon, Alex didn’t hesitate. “I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!” she said, laughing.
She also opened up about her struggles with social anxiety, admitting she tends to “go inwards” in big groups and that Jess is the one who gently pushes her to shine. “She encourages me to come out of myself and show people what she sees every day,” Alex shared, smiling from her hammock as the conversation unfolded.
Her heartfelt confession came after yet another chaotic morning in camp, sparked by a disastrous attempt by Angry Ginge to make breakfast — which ended with the entire fire going out. The mishap triggered a full camp meeting where emotions ran high, with Eddie Kadi telling everyone he felt like he had “brothers and sisters” in the jungle, and even calling Martin “like my dad”.
As campmates bonded and tensions simmered, Alex’s moment of vulnerability stood out as one of the episode’s most touching scenes — a rare glimpse into the love story she and Jess have built since 2023.
Alex and Jess have been inseparable since they went public last year, attending events together including Usher’s concert and the ELLE Style Awards 2025.
