Emmerdale actor Michael Parr has revealed that he is going to be a father, as he and his partner Isabelle Du Plessis are expecting their first child together.
The 38-year-old star, best known for his role as Ross Barton on the ITV soap, made the joyful announcement with a series of adorable photos posted on Instagram. The images included beachside snapshots and a mirror selfie where Isabelle proudly showed off her growing baby bump.

In a caption that melted hearts, the couple hinted at a new chapter, with Isabelle writing: “In our Mum & Dad Era,” while also posting a baby emoji and tagging Michael in an Instagram Story with the simple word: “Incoming.”
The most touching moment came in a photo showing a message drawn in the sand, reading: “M.J.P [and] I.D.P SOON 2 B 3” — confirming that their family is about to grow.

Fellow Emmerdale cast members rushed to share their congratulations. Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) commented, “Absolutely beautiful,” while Amelia Flanagan (April Windsor) left a trail of heart emojis. Amy Walsh (Tracy Metcalfe) simply said, “Cute,” and Shebz Miah (Kammy Hadiq) responded with heart and angel emojis. Ned Porteous (Joe Tate) jokingly replied, “Adopt me.”
