Phil Spencer and Wife Fiona’s Romantic Love Story: Meeting on a ‘Drunken’ Night Out; Begging Her to Move to England; a Son Who Looks Just Like Him

TV presenter Phil Spencer might be best known for his on-screen chemistry with Kirstie Allsopp, but in real life, it’s his enduring relationship with wife Fiona that truly warms hearts.

The couple’s love story began in the unlikeliest of places – a “drunken night out” at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound nightclub in 1995. “It’s not the place you’d expect to meet your soulmate,” Phil once admitted, joking that he “wasn’t a raver” himself.

Convincing Fiona, an Australian, to leave her homeland was no easy feat. It took Phil six years of persistence before she agreed to move to England. They tied the knot in 2001 and went on to raise two sons: Jake, now 21, and Ben, 17.

Fans were recently stunned when Phil posted a photo with his eldest son Jake during a filming trip in New Zealand — many commented on the uncanny resemblance between the two. “He’s your doppelgänger!” one fan declared.

Now living far from the London hustle, the family resides in a stunning £3.3 million countryside estate in Hampshire. With 10 acres of land, a tennis court, cinema, gym, and six en-suite bedrooms, their new home is the epitome of luxury and tranquility.

“We moved for a change of life,” Phil explained, citing his children’s schooling and a desire for nature. The rural life clearly suits them — their household now includes two ponies and six chickens.
