Pete Wicks Breaks Down Begging for Home for Dying Mastiff — Vows to Pay All Vet Bills. Pete Wicks’ Emotional Plea: “Theo Deserves a Home Before His Heart Gives Out”

TV star Pete Wicks has issued a heartbreaking appeal to help find a home for a dying rescue dog who may have just months left to live.

The For Dogs’ Sake presenter is urging readers to adopt Theo, a four-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff with a severe heart condition that’s slowly taking his life. Despite his size and slobbery charm, Theo’s future is uncertain — and Pete is desperate to find him a loving family before it’s too late.

“He’s clumsy, goofy, and the most gentle soul you’ll ever meet,” Pete said, clearly smitten. “It hit me like a ton of bricks — this dog is pure love. He shouldn’t spend his last months in a kennel.”

Theo suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy and arrhythmia, making his condition life-limiting. Pete has offered to cover all medical costs for whoever opens their home to the “gentle giant.”

Although Pete would love to adopt Theo himself, his filming schedule prevents it. “It upsets me deeply,” he admitted. “But someone out there can give him what he truly deserves — a peaceful, loving home.”

Until then, Theo remains in the care of Dogs Trust Kenilworth, where staff and volunteers have grown deeply attached to him. Still, Pete’s words linger: “If there’s ever been a dog that deserves to be loved right to the end — it’s this one.”
