Nicola Peltz Gives an Awkward Response When Asked About the Beckham Family Feud — Anyone Could Tell She Was Answering Very Carefully

Nicola Peltz appeared keen to steer clear of the Beckham family drama when she was recently questioned about the ongoing rift between her husband Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents.

While promoting her upcoming ballet-themed film Prima, the actress was asked about the intense media attention surrounding Brooklyn’s estrangement from the Beckham family. But rather than engage with the controversy, Nicola subtly sidestepped the question and shifted the focus back to her work.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she explained that she has been deeply immersed in post-production on the film. “I’ve been editing my next film [Prima] for the past two and a half weeks. So honestly, I’ve been in the editing room,” she said, offering little insight into the highly publicised family dispute.

The actress added that her schedule has left little room for anything else. “We haven’t had weekends. We’ve just been trying to make a deadline [for Cannes]. And it’s been so amazing to just put my focus on that and be creative. It’s been really fun doing that, and I’m really excited for it to come out.”

Her carefully worded response comes as tensions between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, continue to make headlines.

The feud erupted publicly earlier this year when Brooklyn posted a blistering statement accusing his parents of controlling narratives about their family for years. In the lengthy message, he made it clear he had no intention of reconciling with them, either privately or publicly.

“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” he wrote. “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Brooklyn also claimed that his parents had repeatedly attempted to damage his relationship with Nicola by bringing women from his past back into their lives.

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade,” he said, adding that he believed the truth would eventually come out.

He further alleged that tensions had existed long before his 2022 Palm Beach wedding to Nicola. According to Brooklyn, his mother Victoria cancelled plans to design Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, forcing the actress to urgently find another gown.

“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he wrote.

Brooklyn also claimed that just weeks before the wedding, his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his own name in a deal that would affect his future family.

“Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children,” he alleged.

Despite the dramatic fallout, David and Victoria still publicly acknowledged their eldest son’s birthday earlier this year.

David wrote on social media: “27 today Happy birthday Bust. We love you x.” Victoria also shared a message, writing: “Happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.”
