Ellie Goulding has shared joyful news with fans after revealing she has given birth to her second child — a baby girl — and her first with boyfriend Beau Minniear.
The 39-year-old singer announced the arrival of her daughter in an emotional Instagram post, sharing a sweet photo and a heartfelt message about the special moment.
She wrote: “On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. We are totally obsessed with her.”

Ellie added that the timing of the birth made the moment even more meaningful. She said: “It was fitting that I spent International Women’s Day with her and the incredible female team at St Mary’s, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness.”
The Burn hitmaker also paid tribute to the midwives who supported her during the birth. She shared: “I will always be in awe of midwives. This addition to my family fills me with so much joy, especially as Arthur is so happy to become a big brother to this little angel.”
Ellie is already mum to four-year-old son Arthur, whom she shares with her ex-husband, art dealer Caspar Jopling. The couple finalised their divorce in January 2025 but have remained on good terms while co-parenting their son.

Alongside the announcement, Ellie also shared a glimpse of the celebrations surrounding the new arrival, including a cake decorated with the words “welcome big sister,” hinting at the growing excitement within the family.
The singer had previously been showered with love from friends during a star-studded baby shower in London in January. The 1970s-themed party — inspired by the Apple TV series Palm Royale — saw Ellie dressed in a pink Versace minidress that showcased her growing baby bump, paired with a playful sash reading “Preggs.”
Guests were treated to performances from members of boyband Blue — Duncan James, Simon Webb and Anthony Costa — who joined Ellie for a rendition of their hit Rise.
Ellie first confirmed her pregnancy in early December when she stepped onto the red carpet at the Fashion Awards with a visible baby bump.
Her relationship with Beau Minniear became public in September 2025, and the pair have since been spotted travelling together, including a romantic getaway to Italy.
Despite the arrival of her newborn daughter, Ellie shows no signs of slowing down professionally. The singer is set to headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland on May 23.

She is also preparing to release her sixth studio album later this year, following the success of her single Destiny.
Speaking recently about the upcoming project, Ellie revealed the music has been shaped by the emotional fallout of her marriage ending.
She admitted: “It had always been the goal to start this album. I didn’t know it was going to be a divorce album, but that’s the way it started heading.”
Reflecting on the breakdown of her marriage to Caspar, she said: “When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away. There are some songs that are necessary for me to acknowledge that time in my life and to be respectful of it.”
She added that some songs captured the raw emotions of that time. “Then there were some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad that I felt were good to do in the moment but don’t serve me long-term.”
Ellie even revealed that the day she first met a new producer was the same day she decided to separate from her husband.
She recalled telling him: “Jack, I should be candid with you. Today, my husband and I decided we’re going to separate.”
Despite the deeply personal themes behind the music, Ellie said Caspar has remained supportive of the project — though perhaps with one caveat.
“My label, my friends — everyone’s behind it,” she said. “And even my ex-husband loves the songs… well, he hasn’t heard all the songs.”
