Myleene Klass has encouraged her followers to consider giving blood after sharing a candid video of herself going through the donation process.
The radio presenter, 48, posted the clip on Instagram on Saturday, taking fans inside an NHS blood donor centre and showing each stage of the experience — from arriving at the clinic to sitting in the chair as her arm was cleaned and the donation began.
Afterwards, Myleene was seen smiling with a custard cream biscuit, joking that the snack was one of the perks of doing something meaningful.
Alongside the video, she wrote: “A pint of the good stuff. The pay off: I lost my fake tan but I got a packet of custard creams afterwards.”

She explained that she had decided to post the video permanently after being flooded with questions from fans. Myleene added: “What I can help with is… Does it hurt? No. How long does it take? 6.5 minutes!!!!!”
She said the paperwork and checks took longer than the actual donation, adding that staff tested things such as her iron levels and whether she had drunk enough water beforehand.
Opening up about why she donates, Myleene wrote: “I feel lucky in my life so paying it forward, I know people who’ve needed blood and it could be my kids one day relying on the help of strangers.”
She also reminded fans that “1 pint helps save 3 people” — before cheekily adding that donors also get “a packet of custard creams afterwards.”

The star even revealed she went straight back to her busy day after donating, writing that she headed to the school pick-up, the polling station and then a red carpet event.
It comes after Myleene recently won praise for her honesty when she revealed the secret behind her glamorous braless look at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall. After fans marvelled at how her outfit appeared to be “defying the laws of gravity and age,” Myleene admitted she had used breast tape.
Sharing the behind-the-scenes reality, she joked: “I have breastfed three children, been pregnant seven times and am forty six. I’m absolutely taping the girls up.”
The former Hear’Say singer has also spoken candidly about the darker side of fame, recently telling Loose Women that life in a pop band could be “absolutely incredible when it was incredible,” but painfully difficult during the lows.
