Michelle Keegan is making a sensational return to ITV after eight years, taking the lead in The Blame, a tense new psychological drama alongside Hollywood star Douglas Booth.
The 38-year-old actress, who welcomed her first child, Palma Elizabeth Wright, with husband Mark Wright in March, will play DI Emma Crane – a determined detective investigating a mysterious death that spirals into a web of lies, cover-ups, and moral compromise.

Booth, 33, famed for roles in Mary Shelley, The Limehouse Golem and Netflix’s The Sandman, plays DI Tom Radley, Crane’s partner in a high-stakes investigation that pushes their loyalty and ethics to the limit. The casting has thrilled fans, though some jokingly suggest Mark Wright might be wary of his wife working so closely with a “Hollywood heartthrob.”

Keegan first found fame on Coronation Street as Tina McIntyre (2008–2014) and last appeared on ITV in 2017, playing Tina Moore in Tina and Bobby. Since then, she has become one of British TV’s most bankable stars with hits like Brassic (Sky), Ten Pound Poms (BBC One), and Netflix’s global smash Fool Me Once, which racked up 107 million views in six months.

The Blame, adapted from Charlotte Langley’s debut novel, will also feature Ian Hart (Harry Potter) and Nigel Boyle (Line of Duty), promising gripping suspense and emotional depth.
