Liam Gallagher’s Shock Granddad News at 52 – And the Baby’s Dad Is a Footballer

Rock legend Liam Gallagher is preparing for a new role — as a grandfather — after his daughter Molly Moorish shared the joyous news that she’s expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Nathaniel Phillips.

Molly, 27, made the announcement in a heartwarming Instagram post on Wednesday, sharing several intimate snapshots, including a cozy selfie with Nathaniel, glimpses of her baby bump, a baby onesie, and even a nostalgic throwback of herself as a child holding a baby doll. She cheekily captioned the post: “bulking season” with a pregnant emoji.

Her mother, singer Lisa Moorish, reacted with pure excitement, commenting: “Waaaaaaah!” while actress Sadie Frost added: “Congratulations – the best news.”

Liam, 52, shares Molly with Lisa from a brief relationship in 1998. Though father and daughter were estranged for many years, they reconnected in her late teens. Since then, the Oasis frontman has expressed deep affection for her, even dedicating the song Now That I Found You to their reunion.

Molly’s upcoming arrival marks Liam’s first grandchild. He is also the father of Lennon, 25 (with Patsy Kensit), Gene, 23 (with Nicole Appleton), and 12-year-old Gemma (with journalist Liza Ghorbani).

Molly confirmed her relationship with Nathaniel — currently on loan to Derby County from Liverpool — in 2022. She even moved from Manchester to be closer to him, despite Liam’s famously die-hard loyalty to Manchester City.

As the family celebrates Molly’s baby news, Liam is also gearing up for another big milestone — reuniting with his brother Noel for an Oasis world tour in 2025. The long-anticipated reunion comes after 14 years of feuding and is expected to take the band across the UK, the US, South America, and Asia.

However, reports say the tour comes with conditions: both brothers have undergone intense medical assessments to secure insurance, and have been warned to avoid “over-indulgence” to stay healthy for the stadium gigs.
