KATIE PRICE INSISTS ‘IT’S NOT WHAT PEOPLE THINK’ AFTER Husband Lee Andrews FAILS To Show Up For LIVE TV Interview Amid Airport Detention Claims

Katie Price has publicly defended her husband Lee Andrews after he dramatically failed to appear alongside her for their planned live interview on Good Morning Britain — as rumours exploded that he had been detained at an airport in Dubai.

The former glamour model, 47, appeared alone on the ITV breakfast show on Tuesday morning after Lee, 42, missed the flight he had reportedly agreed to take for their first joint television appearance together.

The awkward interview immediately turned tense when presenter Ed Balls revealed the Foreign Office had confirmed they were “supporting a British man detained in the United Arab Emirates” after being asked about Lee’s travel situation.

But Katie insisted the mystery man was “definitely not Lee”.

She told hosts Susanna Reid and Ed: “I obviously know it’s not him. He sent me a voicenote with laughing emojis saying, ‘No it’s not me.’ He’s sent me pictures from the airport and he’s on his way.”

Lee is currently facing allegations that he forged his ex-girlfriend Dina Taji’s signature to secure a £200,000 loan — accusations he has strongly denied.

Despite the growing controversy, Katie repeatedly stood by her husband throughout the interview, insisting his no-show was simply down to business commitments at the last minute.

She explained: “Because of his business, he had some things to do last minute.”

When Susanna questioned whether she genuinely trusted him, Katie replied firmly: “Yes. I know no one believes me. But yes, I do.”

The TV personality also claimed Lee is now preparing to relocate to the UK after she became exhausted travelling constantly between Britain and Dubai.

She said: “I keep flying to him, so I told him now he’s got to come to England.”

However, the situation became even more confusing just hours later when Katie uploaded an Instagram video admitting she was “gutted” because Lee was no longer coming after all.

While shopping for furniture and preparing her house for his arrival, Katie jokingly played Escapism. in the background and captioned the clip: “Where The Hell Is My Husband?”

In the video, she played a voicenote from Lee saying: “Please just be patient if you can. I don’t want you to lose faith with it all.”

Katie also confirmed during the interview that Lee has still not met any of her five children in person despite them marrying earlier this year after a whirlwind romance.

She revealed her daughter Princess jokingly asks Lee for a Birkin bag every time they FaceTime, while Harvey “can’t wait” to finally meet him.

The emotional interview took another turn when Katie opened up about her mother Amy’s worsening health battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Fighting back emotion, she said: “She’s not well at the moment, really not well. But I love you so much, Mum.”

Katie also addressed speculation that Lee failed to pay a hotel bill in Dubai during his proposal trip.

She dismissed the rumours completely, saying: “If you don’t pay a bill in Dubai, they put you in jail over there — end of.”

The couple secretly married in January just weeks after meeting, before holding a second legal ceremony in February — a move that reportedly shocked Katie’s family.
