Katie Price was left emotional during a live appearance on Good Morning Britain after opening up about her mum Amy’s devastating health battle and admitting she is currently “really not well.”
Amy was diagnosed with the terminal lung disease Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) back in 2017 — a cruel condition that causes irreversible scarring of the lungs and makes breathing increasingly difficult. Although she underwent a life-changing lung transplant in 2023, the battle has continued ever since.
Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of the ITV programme, Katie, 47, was asked by host Susanna Reid how her mother was coping.

Susanna gently asked: “How is your mum, because your mum’s been poorly, hasn’t she?”
Katie quietly replied: “My mum is poorly,” before turning directly to the camera with an emotional message for Amy watching at home.
She said: “Mum I know you’re watching, I know you’re unwell but I just wanna say, ‘I love you so much and I’m coming to see you tomorrow’.
“She’s not well at the moment, really not well, but I love you so much mum and you’ll probably be tearing up watching this.”
The heartbreaking update comes just weeks after Amy was hospitalised with an infection, with Katie previously revealing on her podcast that doctors were still trying to determine exactly what was wrong.

Fans of the former glamour model were quick to rally around the family after seeing Katie visibly emotional on live television.
But the interview was also overshadowed by drama surrounding Katie’s husband Lee Andrews, who failed to appear for the planned joint interview.
ITV reportedly removed promotional posts for the segment after Lee was unable to board his flight to the UK from the Middle East.
There has been ongoing speculation surrounding claims Lee is unable to leave the UAE after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend’s signature to secure a £200,000 loan — allegations he strongly denies.
Katie defended her husband throughout the interview and insisted there was nothing suspicious behind his absence.

She explained: “He just didn’t make the flight.
“He’s coming here to spend quite a few months now. He’s been sorting out my visa, my international driving licence.
“He’s flying from Muscat and he had things to do, he didn’t make the flight but he’s at the airport now.”
When Susanna questioned whether she fully trusted him, Katie replied simply: “Yes.”
