Katie Price has candidly shown fans the dramatic swelling she is experiencing after undergoing a procedure in Brussels to remove scar tissue caused by years of lip filler treatments.
The former glamour model, 48, shared an update from her hotel room just one day after the surgery, admitting she was in considerable pain as she displayed her noticeably enlarged lips on Instagram.
Addressing her followers before critics could weigh in, Katie said: “Hey guys, yes. Before you start, I know what I look like. Yesterday I was in Brussels, and I had all of the scar tissue taken out of my lips, so they’re really swollen at the moment.”
She explained that the procedure was carried out after filler migration above her natural lip line had created bumps and scar tissue.
Despite her discomfort, Katie appeared online to promote CBD products she says have helped her cope with the recovery.
She told fans: “So last night, luckily, I had my CBD to help with the pain and sleep, and I’m taking my gummies today as well, honestly, guys, I can’t go without this.”
Adding that she wouldn’t normally appear in public looking like this, Katie insisted she wanted to show followers how much she relied on the products during her recovery.
“This really does work. I mean, I wouldn’t come on here looking like this, but I want to show you how much I’m relying on this,” she said.
The television personality had revealed just a day earlier that she was finally taking action to correct the bumps above her lips.
Pointing to the affected area, she explained: “This will be sorted this week. All of that.”
However, Katie also confessed she wasn’t entirely happy with the appearance of her lips without filler.
“My lips look so thin, I hate it. What do you guys think? They look too thin, look. I’ve got nothing in them. They make my teeth look massive.”
Fans reacted with concern over the latest cosmetic procedure, with some urging the mother-of-five to stop altering her appearance and embrace ageing naturally, while others simply wished her a speedy recovery.
Katie has undergone numerous cosmetic enhancements over the years, including rhinoplasty, Botox, veneers, facelifts and several breast augmentations.
Meanwhile, her husband Lee Andrews, 43, has sparked fresh discussion online after unveiling what many followers believe to be an AI-enhanced new hairstyle.
The businessman, who recently returned to social media following his release from a Dubai prison, showed off a dramatically fuller head of hair just days after appearing with a buzzcut.
In a video posted from Dubai, Lee joked about his new look, saying: “So this is when you try to reinvent yourself. This is a wet through messy look. But we are slowly getting there. It’s not too bad is it. This is a massive reinvention.”
Lee has continued to deny allegations that fraud was behind his detention in Dubai, maintaining that he was initially suspected of espionage and insisting there is “not one shred of evidence” supporting claims he took out a mortgage in his former fiancée’s name.
“There’s not one shred of evidence where I’ve taken a mortgage in somebody else’s name,” Lee insisted.
“If I was to take a mortgage in somebody else’s name, wouldn’t she get that mortgage? How does it work? What would I benefit from signing her name? That’s definitely not the case.”
