Jessie J was overwhelmed with tears as she delivered the emotional update on whether her cancer had spread after surgery. Many tears were shed

Jessie J has opened up in an emotional update, revealing she cried “happy tears” after learning her breast cancer had not spread following surgery.

The 37-year-old singer underwent a mastectomy two weeks ago and shared a heartwarming video of her two-year-old son Sky the night before the operation. In the clip, she gently encouraged him to say: “Mummy’s going to be okay,” just hours before her breast removal surgery.

In a heartfelt Instagram caption, she wrote: “AND.. I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread. Happy tears are real,” adding multiple crying emojis.

The “Price Tag” star thanked her followers for the overwhelming support, saying: “Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.”

She then added humor to her healing journey, writing: “Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters, but for now it’s gratitude time and I’m changing my name to The LopJess monster.”

Despite the relief, Jessie admitted in another emotional post that she was feeling some “delayed sadness” and “frustration” for not saying goodbye to her breast before the surgery. She confessed: “I was in survival mode. I didn’t think beyond the surgery.”

She added: “Now it’s just me and my wonky boobs trying to figure out how to dress until I match them up. The left one is looking at me like ‘you ok babe?’”

Jessie also revealed that she recently had her surgical drain removed: “She whipped that thang out so quick. Woii oii. Weirdest feeling. But so nice to have it out after 12 days.”

Though Jessie had previously hoped to be rid of cancer entirely, she clarified a misunderstanding from a recent post. “It was a positive affirmation NOT a fact. I don’t have my results yet,” she explained, saying she was praying for good news but still awaiting confirmation.

Taking a step back to focus on recovery, she told fans she would be taking a week off social media. “My head and boob hurts. Lol. Bye. Always loveeeee,” she signed off.
