Nicoline Artursson, model and former Miss Sweden, has finally spoken out after her ex-boyfriend, reality TV star James Argent, admitted to domestic violence. In an emotional Instagram post titled “All that glitters, where is the gold?”, she revealed harrowing details of their relationship—marking the first time she’s publicly addressed the incident.

Earlier this month, Argent admitted in a Spanish court to physically assaulting Nicoline by pushing her down a flight of stairs. He received a six-month suspended sentence and a two-year restraining order. Days later, he was seen performing on stage as if nothing had happened.
Now, Nicoline is ready to share her truth.
“It’s been a month. I still can’t believe it. My body may have healed, but inside, I’m still wounded,” she began. “I’ve been quiet long enough. Silence protects no one—and it almost destroyed me.”
Nicoline described the start of their romance as magical—they met outside a supermarket in Marbella and quickly fell in love. She thought he was family-oriented, supportive, and kind. But behind the Instagram smiles and public declarations of love, Nicoline said she experienced emotional manipulation that ultimately turned violent.
She revealed that unresolved connections to Argent’s ex-girlfriend played a toxic role in their relationship, saying it often felt like “three’s a crowd.”
“I was promised change,” she wrote. “He said he would set boundaries, but he didn’t. Instead, I was thrown out of our home in the middle of the night. Minutes later, I was lying injured on the stairs outside as my belongings rained down from the balcony.”
Thanks to her neighbours’ quick intervention, the police were called, and Nicoline was taken to safety. She later thanked them for helping her when she had no strength left.

“Violence has no excuse—no matter how much love preceded it,” she declared. “I believed in us. I stayed because I thought love could heal. But love can’t survive in chaos.”
Nicoline ended her post with a powerful message to other women in abusive relationships: “If you’ve ever questioned your worth, your safety, or your sanity—this is your sign. You deserve to be loved with care and integrity. And you are not alone.”
As for the future, Nicoline remains hopeful. “I will get the little family I’ve always dreamed of,” she wrote. “I’m healing now. Slowly, bravely, and unapologetically. I will rise.”
