Jack Whitehall may have just set himself up for a seriously awkward moment with close pal David Beckham — after joking that his mum is preparing to recreate one of the most talked-about wedding dance controversies in recent celebrity history.
As the comedian gears up to marry model Roxy Horner, he revealed that his mother, Hilary Whitehall, is already plotting a show-stealing performance — and it sounds anything but subtle.

Speaking on Ant and Dec’s YouTube show, Jack cheekily warned guests that his mum could be “going full Victoria Beckham” on the dancefloor. He laughed that she’s probably even hired a choreographer and is being taught how to twerk ahead of the big day.
The joke didn’t come out of nowhere. It directly references the explosive claims made by Brooklyn Beckham earlier this year, when he accused his mother of ruining a deeply personal moment at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn stunned fans when he alleged: my mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. He went on to say that in front of 500 guests, singer Marc Anthony called him to the stage for what was meant to be a special moment with Nicola — only for Victoria to be waiting instead.
He claimed she danced very inappropriately on him in front of everyone, adding that he had never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in his life. The fallout from those comments sent shockwaves through the Beckham family and the wider showbiz world.
Now, with Jack referencing the moment in jest, fans are wondering whether his playful dig could land him in hot water — especially given his friendship with David.

But if anyone is likely to push the boundaries on a wedding dancefloor, it’s Hilary. She’s already built a reputation for outrageous antics, having turned heads at the BRIT Awards by dressing as Chappell Roan — without a bra — while Jack’s father Michael Whitehall fully committed to a Harry Styles-inspired look.
The year before, the couple went viral again after appearing as Kanye West and Bianca Censori, leaving fans convinced they never do anything by halves.
With that track record, Jack’s warning might not be a joke at all — and guests at his upcoming wedding could be bracing themselves for a performance they won’t forget anytime soon.
