Katie Price’s whirlwind Dubai wedding to Lee Andrews has taken another dramatic turn after the man who officiated their ceremony admitted there was one major concern he couldn’t ignore.
The former glamour model, 47, stunned fans and family alike by revealing she had tied the knot just days after meeting Lee, following a surprise engagement announced only hours before the ceremony. While Katie’s relatives were said to be completely blindsided, Lee reportedly made sure his own mother was aware of the wedding plans.

Now, the officiant who conducted the ceremony, Darryl Rees, has spoken publicly for the first time about what it was like to marry the couple – and why he’s uneasy about what happened next.
Recalling the speed of events, Darryl explained that they became engaged on the Friday, and just two days later he was standing in front of them, leading the ceremony. From his perspective, the couple appeared deeply in love. He said Lee was clearly head over heels for Katie, describing him as excited, affectionate and eager to marry her. Katie, meanwhile, seemed just as taken, with the pair locked into each other throughout the ceremony, never once breaking eye contact and appearing completely smitten.
However, despite the intense romance on display, Darryl revealed his biggest worry: the marriage may not actually be legal.

He explained that the ceremony he conducted was purely symbolic and carried no legal weight unless the couple completed the necessary paperwork separately. According to Darryl, Katie and Lee mentioned they planned to legalise the marriage the following Monday, something many couples in Dubai choose to do either before or after their ceremony, often in their home country.
The uncertainty has only added fuel to growing concern among Katie’s family, who are reportedly preparing an intervention. Sources claim they plan to sit her down for a serious conversation, with fears she is moving far too fast. Family members are said to be alarmed that they haven’t even met Lee, with one insider warning that if she has only known him a week, “he could be anyone.”

Despite the doubts swirling around them, Katie has insisted their connection was instant and profound. She recently described their relationship as love at first sight, revealing they bonded initially through social media, connected deeply through words before even meeting, got matching tattoos within days, and decided to buy rings for each other before finally letting “fate” decide their future.
Whether fate truly sealed their marriage – legally or otherwise – remains the question now hanging over Katie Price’s fourth trip down the aisle.
