New mum Sophie Habboo has laid bare the unfiltered reality of life after giving birth — and her candid confession has left fans both shocked and intrigued.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, welcomed her first child, baby Ziggy, with husband Jamie Laing in December last year. But months on, Sophie has revealed that motherhood hasn’t exactly been the “magical” experience many expect.
During a brutally honest Instagram Q&A, Sophie opened up about the physical toll pregnancy and childbirth have taken on her body — including unexpected hair loss and one very unusual recovery attempt.

She admitted: “I mean I’d love to know the answer too. My hair’s falling out by the second. I mean I ate my placenta? Not sure if it did anything?”
The surprising revelation came as she responded to a fan asking for her “must-have” tips for dealing with post-pregnancy changes — but instead of offering a miracle solution, Sophie kept it real.
“ONE MINUTE CLOUD 9… NEXT I’M A SAVAGE”: The Emotional Rollercoaster She Didn’t Expect
Sophie didn’t hold back when describing the emotional impact of pregnancy and early motherhood — admitting it was far tougher than she had anticipated.
She confessed: “I won’t lie I found it challenging at times! It was my first pregnancy and I was very anxious about everything and so to have cameras following you was full on at times.”
The reality star also revealed just how extreme her mood swings became, saying: “I was also not myself, my hormones were everywhere. I found pregnancy hard at times, ngl… one minute I felt like I was on cloud 9, next I was a savage b****.”
Adding to the struggle, Sophie said she was also battling severe pelvic pain, making the entire experience even more overwhelming — especially while being filmed.

Cameras, Pressure and Cracks Behind the Scenes
Since stepping away from Made In Chelsea, Sophie and Jamie have remained fan favourites — even landing their own Disney+ docuseries Raising Chelsea, which documents their life after marriage and becoming parents.
But behind the glossy reality TV moments, Sophie admitted the constant presence of cameras intensified her anxiety.
She explained: “So it’s quite scary to have a camera documenting you probably not at your best but it’s what we signed up for. We always promised that we would keep it real and my God we really did!”
Despite the pressure, she also acknowledged there were beautiful moments captured, adding that watching it back now feels “insane” and emotional.
However, the cracks in their relationship are also teased in the show — with one tense moment showing Sophie confronting Jamie, telling him his behaviour was “so unacceptable” after accusing him of going behind her back.
