As they take centre stage tonight hosting the Eurovision 2025 Semi-Final on BBC One, Rylan Clark and Scott Mills continue to show the world what a truly beautiful friendship looks like – full of love, loyalty, and a whole lot of laughs.
Their bond has only grown stronger through the years, and fans have watched as the pair seamlessly blend professional respect with genuine personal affection.

“Lay Off Him!” – Rylan Defends Scott
Back in 2022, when Scott temporarily replaced Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2, not everyone was happy about the change. But Rylan was quick to defend his friend from the backlash.
“Scott Mills is an amazing radio host and one of the gooduns,” he posted. “Lay off.” Scott responded simply: “LOVE YOU ❤️”
That moment set the tone for a friendship filled with public support and mutual admiration.

Scott Steps In During Rylan’s Family Crisis
When Rylan’s mum Linda suffered a serious fall while on holiday in 2023, it was Scott who stepped in to cover his show at the last minute.
“Love ya @Rylan… I’ll be with you tomorrow,” Scott wrote, sending love to both Rylan and Linda. Rylan, in turn, thanked Scott for having his back during such a difficult time.
“My Other Husband” – The Wedding That Melted Fans
Before Scott married long-time partner Sam Vaughan in 2024, Rylan threw him a hilarious on-air hen party. Complete with a sash, balloons and an emotional forehead kiss from Rylan, the moment summed up their playful, heartwarming connection.
Scott later posted: “Thank you to my other husband @rylan… Love you loads.”

Scott Wants Love for Rylan Too
Despite their closeness, Scott has always encouraged Rylan to find his own happy ending in love. Since Rylan’s split from ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021, he’s been open about the challenges of starting over.
“Rylan needs to find his version of Sam,” Scott shared in an interview, adding: “He has all the time in the world – and when it happens, it’ll be the right thing.”
Podcast Power Duo
In 2024, they teamed up professionally once again for the BBC Sounds podcast Pop Top 10, where they rank iconic pop culture moments with celebrity guests. From Perrie Edwards to Katherine Ryan, the podcast has only added to their shared legacy in entertainment.
With Eurovision 2025 underway, one thing’s for certain – whether it’s on the air, on the red carpet, or in the recording booth, Rylan and Scott are a duo the UK absolutely adores.
