Helen Flanagan has left her followers shocked after sharing photos of her face covered in bruises and blood spots following her latest beauty procedure.
The 35-year-old former Coronation Street actress revealed she had undergone a round of polynucleotide injections – a cutting-edge treatment that uses extracts of salmon sperm to rejuvenate the delicate under-eye area.

Despite her face being visibly swollen and marked with bloody dots, Helen assured her fans that the look was only temporary. She insisted the treatment made her feel “so much younger and fresher” and revealed she had already noticed “such a difference” after her second of three planned sessions.
The polynucleotide procedure, hailed as one of the newest must-have celebrity treatments, is designed to smooth fine lines, brighten the skin, and improve hydration at a cellular level.

Sharing close-up photos on Instagram, Helen explained: “Polynucleotides stimulate repair, boost skin quality, and bring back brightness. It’s all part of the healing process.”
The actress, who has faced criticism in the past for undergoing cosmetic work – including a boob job that sparked backlash – seemed unfazed this time as she embraced the bruises as a step towards a more youthful glow.
