Helen Flanagan Breaks Silence on Coronation Street Comeback Rumours with Three-Word Verdict, fans are wondering if Rosie Webster is heading back to the cobbles

Helen Flanagan has finally spoken out about her possible return to Coronation Street, hinting that while nothing is confirmed yet, the door isn’t closed.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star at the WhichBingo Awards, the 34-year-old actress revealed she’s entering a new chapter now that her youngest child, Charlie, is heading to school — and she’s ready to refocus on her career. “I had my children a little younger,” she said, “and now it’s my time to really put everything into work.”

Helen addressed rumours that she’d reached out to ITV bosses and was turned down. “It was such a ridiculous article,” she said. “There’s always something written — like ‘Helen’s rejection must be personal’. It’s just nonsense.”

When asked directly about a Coronation Street return, she said three words that sparked hope: “Things take time.” She added: “I’d be open to going back, of course. I have so much gratitude for Corrie. It changed my life.”

Helen rose to fame playing Rosie Webster, and her character remains a fan favourite. Though she’s been away from the cobbles, her affection for the show has clearly remained strong.

Away from the screen, Helen is focused on settling family life. After her split from footballer Scott Sinclair, the pair are navigating co-parenting their three children — Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, four. With Scott based in Bath and Helen living in North Manchester, the logistics have become difficult.

She recently travelled to Bath to check out schools, hoping to find a middle ground. “Me and Scott need to live in the same city now,” she explained, adding that she wants to avoid disrupting Matilda before she finishes Year Six.

For now, Helen has new work projects lined up and says she’ll be in Manchester regardless — but she isn’t ruling out stepping back into Rosie Webster’s stilettos when the time is right.
