Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones lit up the red carpet at the TV BAFTAs this week – and fans are desperately hoping there’s more than just friendship between the pair.
The Morning Live co-hosts were all smiles as they stepped out for the glamorous ceremony, posing together in what appeared to be the hallway and lift of the same hotel. Gethin looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo, while Helen stunned in a sleek monochrome dress that showed off her toned figure.
The duo’s undeniable chemistry had fans flooding social media with excitement. “Please tell me these two are dating!” one follower begged. “Gorgeous couple. It’s about time they made it official,” added another. One even joked: “Come on you guys, don’t make us wait until your wedding day.”
Helen and Gethin only added fuel to the speculation by leaving the awards together – with Helen barefoot, heels in hand, grinning as she headed for her cab, and Gethin by her side.
But are they really together? Sadly, it seems not – at least for now. Helen recently shared a heartfelt tribute to Gethin after a Comic Relief challenge, writing: “I don’t publicly say often enough how much love and respect I have for you… You’re a legend, and I’m beyond grateful to have you by my side on the rink, the sofa, and beyond.”
Meanwhile, Gethin may have hinted at a romance of his own – just not with Helen. During a recent Morning Live episode, he sheepishly admitted to discovering he snores, saying: “Apparently, I found out recently… I might get in trouble here.” Though he didn’t name anyone, he’s since clarified: “We’re very honest with one another. We’re best friends.”
Helen, who split from husband Richie Myler in 2022, is now raising their three children as a single mum – and fans continue to root for her happiness, whatever form it takes.
