The real reason behind Jimmy Bullard’s dramatic exit from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! All Stars has finally come to light — and it’s far more emotional than viewers first believed.
The former footballer, 47, stunned fans when he became the first contestant this season to shout the iconic “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” during a brutal Bushtucker Trial — a moment that also triggered an explosive fallout with his teammate Adam Thomas.

But behind the chaos and on-screen tension, insiders have revealed a heartbreaking truth: Jimmy was dealing with a private family crisis.
According to sources, he had been desperate to return to the UK as his father was already struggling with serious health issues before he even flew out to South Africa. Faced with the opportunity to leave, Jimmy made the painful decision to walk away — even knowing it could cost his teammate dearly.
During the intense trial, Jimmy was seen visibly struggling before admitting: he didn’t think he had it in him anymore, apologising repeatedly as he uttered the show’s famous exit line.
Adam, however, was left furious. He shouted in disbelief, asking if Jimmy was serious and urging him not to quit. But when Jimmy stood firm, insisting he had “had enough,” the situation spiralled.

The row quickly escalated, with Adam accusing him angrily while complaining about being covered in ants. Jimmy, trying to stay calm, responded that everyone has their own story — before the clash descended into a heated exchange that shocked the entire camp.
At one point, Jimmy even called Adam’s reaction “pathetic,” marking a dramatic breakdown in what had previously been a friendly relationship.
The situation became so intense that hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were forced to step in and suspend the trial — a first in the show’s history.
What followed only deepened the fallout. The argument not only ended their friendship but also cast a shadow over the upcoming live final.
Insiders claim Jimmy has already made it clear he won’t be attending, despite facing a potential 20% pay cut for skipping the event. His absence could have serious consequences for his future TV career, with concerns he may now be seen as unreliable.
Still, those close to him insist his decision was never about the show — it was about family.
And sometimes, that comes at a cost far greater than any reality TV prize.
