The royal couple had just come from a private meeting with first responders and survivors of the tragic December 14 Bondi terrorist attack, before heading to the beach to observe a surf lifesaving demonstration.
But amid the chaos of flashing cameras and eager onlookers, it wasn’t the royals who captured the internet’s imagination.
Footage shows the couple and their entourage walking directly past a woman lying face-down on her towel — completely absorbed in her book. Despite the growing crowd and even a gesture from Prince Harry seemingly pointing her out, the beachgoer didn’t flinch, didn’t move, and didn’t even look up.
