Georgia Toffolo Celebrates as Lucy Watson Announces Her Second Pregnancy After a Struggle with Fertility Issues

Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson has revealed she is pregnant with her second child — and her emotional announcement quickly sparked a wave of love from friends, family and fans, including an excited message from Georgia Toffolo.

Lucy, 35, shared the joyful update on Instagram on April 16, telling followers that her “family is growing” as she posed with a Clearblue pregnancy test, a baby scan and her blossoming bump. In another sweet snap, her young son wore a jumper with “Big brother” written across the front, while Lucy leaned her head on husband James Dunmore as they looked at the scan together.

She wrote in the caption: “Nothing prepares you for seeing that word, thank you to @clearblue for giving us that moment of clarity.”

The happy news marks another major milestone for Lucy and James, who first met on Made In Chelsea in 2015 and later married in a stunning ceremony in Greece in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child in 2024, and now their family is preparing to grow once again.

The pregnancy reveal was met with a flood of warm messages from Lucy’s famous friends. Georgia Toffolo was among the first to respond, writing: “Congratulations!!! Xxx.” Emily Blackwell also shared her excitement, posting: “So exciting!! Congratulations.”

Lucy’s sister Tiffany Watson added a particularly heartfelt message, saying: “Yay. So excited for another bubba in the family.” Former Love Island star Montana Brown also joined in, writing: “So excited for you, beautiful family,” alongside a red heart emoji.

The moment feels even more emotional given what Lucy has previously shared about her difficult journey to motherhood. Speaking last year on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she opened up about the pain and uncertainty she experienced while trying to conceive.

“I found out that, on average, it takes a couple a year to get pregnant. And there was me thinking, ‘Two or three months, it will happen.’ When you’re trying, every month feels like a year,” she said.

Lucy also reflected on how isolating the experience could feel when comparing yourself to others. “You can have friends around you who got pregnant on their first try, and then you might have friends around you who are going through fertility issues,” she explained.

She admitted that beginning fertility testing was emotionally draining, describing the process as “invasive” and “not enjoyable”. Lucy said: “It was a very anxiety-inducing time. A lot of tears, a lot of feeling sorry for myself and thinking, ‘Why me?’. In retrospect, I actually had a really good journey, but you don’t know what your journey is going to be like when you’re in it.”

That is why this latest baby news has struck such an emotional chord. For Lucy, what looks like a glowing pregnancy announcement on social media also carries the weight of everything she went through behind the scenes — making this growing family moment feel even more special.
