Davina McCall has once again found herself at the centre of a social media storm — but this time, her loyal fans rushed to her defence.
The 57-year-old TV favourite, who underwent urgent surgery last year after doctors discovered a rare colloid cyst in her brain, has been open about her recovery and fitness journey. After being given the all-clear in April 2025, she made a confident return to television and has since embraced workouts like the viral #PowerUpChallenge.

However, her latest Instagram video attracted cruel comments about her appearance. One user wrote: “Love Davina, but you’re looking very old, sorry. Just because she’s slim doesn’t mean she’s healthy inside.” Another added: “Sorry, love, but you look too skinny. Be kind to yourself.”

Fans were quick to clap back, with one writing: “You’re the only one who thinks this, so jog on.” Another reminded trolls: “To be kind, stop commenting on other people’s bodies.” When one critic insisted, “It’s social media, I’ll say what I like,” a defender shot back: “You can and did — but it only says something about you.”
This isn’t the first time Davina has faced this type of scrutiny. Back in May, she admitted she found the focus on her weight “frustrating,” saying that people think they can post cruel things online without consequences.

She added proudly: “I’m a 5ft 6 woman who weighs 61kg. I don’t diet, I exercise, I eat relatively healthily and I enjoy sharing that journey with people. I’m 57 this year and I’m happy with the way I look — I feel absolutely [bleep]ing great.”
