Claudia Winkleman stunned fans after making a rare public appearance with her husband Kris Thykier at the 2026 TV BAFTAs — despite currently being deep into filming for the highly anticipated new season of Celebrity Traitors in Scotland.
The beloved presenter, 54, reportedly flew from the remote Ardross Castle filming location to London on Sunday just to attend the glamorous ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall, where The Traitors picked up the award for Best Reality Show. But the whirlwind trip barely lasted half an hour before Claudia had to race back to the airport and fly straight to Scotland again.

Speaking at the event, Claudia admitted the schedule had been completely chaotic. “We came down from Scotland this morning and I am leaving again in eight minutes,” she revealed.
The presenter looked effortlessly chic in a black tailored jacket with matching cropped trousers and white stiletto heels as she posed alongside her rarely-seen husband Kris, who looked sharp in a classic tuxedo and bow tie. The couple, who have been married since 2000, rarely appear together at major showbiz events, making the moment even more special for fans.

Claudia also opened up emotionally about why she remains obsessed with The Traitors and the growing success of the franchise. She explained: “I love every single aspect because everybody who works on the team is obsessed by it, obsessed by the game.”
She continued: “I love watching how the traitors behave and how the faithful behave, and I want both sides to win equally. So it’s confusing.”
The Strictly favourite also praised the way families watch the show together, calling social media reaction and communal viewing one of her favourite parts of the phenomenon.

Meanwhile, excitement is already building around Celebrity Traitors after filming officially began earlier this week. Big names including Maya Jama, James Blunt and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are all believed to be taking part in the upcoming celebrity edition, which has already been described as one of the BBC’s biggest reality TV events yet.
Away from Claudia’s hectic schedule, the BAFTA TV Awards celebrated some of Britain’s biggest television successes of the year. Adolescence dominated the nominations with 11 nods, while the BBC led the broadcaster tally with an impressive 73 nominations overall.
