Cancer comeback? Sir Rod Stewart finally reappears alongside pregnant daughter – and the truth about his cancer rumours is revealed

Sir Rod Stewart has made his first public appearance since cancelling multiple shows due to illness—and he wasn’t alone. The legendary 80-year-old singer was joined by his children, pregnant daughter Kimberley, 45, and son Sean, 44, for a comforting dinner outing at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills.

Rod, who had to cancel six concerts in the U.S. following a severe flu, looked dapper in a velvet blazer, white shirt and jeans. Despite the health setback, he appeared upbeat, smiling as he exited a sleek black car, sunglasses on and a chunky necklace around his neck.

The outing comes after worrying rumours began circulating that Rod might be facing a return of cancer—years after he beat prostate cancer in 2019. Concern mounted online as fans speculated that his sudden show cancellations might signal something more serious. However, a representative for the rock icon has now confirmed that the recent illness was flu-related only and not a recurrence of cancer. The clarification brought relief to many devoted followers.

Kimberley, who is expecting her second child 13 years after her first with Benicio Del Toro, looked radiant in a black mini dress and blazer, proudly cradling her baby bump.

Rod took to social media to apologise for the postponed shows—including one in Las Vegas that was scrapped just 24 hours ahead of time. “I’m devastated,” he wrote. “So sorry my friends. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.”

While he recently announced that his current tour will be his last large-scale global outing, Rod assured fans he’s not retiring. “I love what I do,” he declared, cheekily adding: “I’ve still got a full head of hair and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at 79!”

Looking ahead, he teased a possible “Swing Fever” tour in smaller, more intimate venues. And although he added, “Then again, I may not…,” fans are hopeful for more magic to come.

Rod is still on the bill for the prestigious Legends Slot at Glastonbury on June 29—a moment that’s shaping up to be both a celebration and a comeback.
