Lorraine Kelly has found herself at the centre of controversy after her weekly earnings were revealed—just as ITV prepares to slash jobs and shorten her daytime slot.
The 65-year-old presenter, currently enjoying her summer break away from screens, reportedly pockets around £13,000 a week through her company Albatel Ltd, according to accounts filed at Companies House. Figures show the firm is valued at £4.2 million, with £3.3 million in cash reserves and £135,000 in investments.

But as ITV prepares to axe over 200 jobs and cut her self-titled show Lorraine down to just 30 minutes a day for 30 weeks of the year, critics are questioning why she earns so much. One disgruntled viewer fumed: “Her show is rubbish and outdated, and she still got £13,000 a week for that. No wonder ITV is in money trouble.” Another blasted: “Disgusting! She’s never there!”

Others went further, questioning her presenting skills. “Beats me how she has lasted in this position as she is a lousy interviewer,” one said. Another added: “Wild how top talent still gets paid these premiums while networks make cuts elsewhere.”
Still, some defended her success. “Good luck to her,” one supporter wrote. “No wonder she cannot stop smiling.” Another echoed: “Whatever we think, she’s clearly worth it to the people that make the decision.”
Whether ITV’s looming cuts will affect Lorraine’s contract remains unclear, but her critics believe she’ll be just fine thanks to her sizeable fortune.
