Rumours have been swirling that Britain’s Got Talent star Ant McPartlin has quietly welcomed a second baby – and that Simon Cowell stunned him with a jaw-dropping gift. But while the internet loves a dramatic twist, the facts tell a very different story.
Ant, one half of the beloved duo Ant and Dec, became a dad for the first time in May 2024 with the birth of son Wilder Patrick McPartlin. The emotional announcement, featuring a black-and-white photo and a heartfelt caption, tugged at the nation’s heartstrings. But as of now, Wilder remains his only child.

The rumour of a second baby appears to be fuelled by fan enthusiasm and a misunderstanding. When Ant shared that he was “a mess” after Wilder’s birth, many assumed more family news was coming. Add Simon Cowell’s congratulatory moment on live TV – and a cryptic reference to a “lovely gift” – and speculation took off. But the gift was for Wilder, and no new arrival has been confirmed.
Cowell’s gesture was sweet, but hardly “shocking” – and the playful exchange on BGT was more about camaraderie than surprise. Fans loved the moment, especially when Ant teased the other judges for not sending presents.
As of May 2025, there’s no sign that Ant and wife Anne-Marie Corbett are expecting again. Their focus seems firmly on raising Wilder, and Ant has spoken openly about the challenges and joys of fatherhood at 49. Any claims of a second baby are purely speculation – for now.
