Katie Price has revealed a heartbreaking loss after one of her beloved cat Doris’ newborn kittens died just hours after being born.

The 46-year-old mum of five took to Snapchat on Friday to share the emotional news with her followers. In a video clip, she appeared visibly tired and dressed in a cream jumper, explaining that she had been feeding the kittens every two and a half hours — day and night — after they arrived prematurely.
“One unfortunately died,” Katie said solemnly, pointing to a tiny bundle wrapped in tissue. “That’s the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it.”

Katie explained that she’s been trying to help the remaining kittens latch on to their mother, saying, “Two are just about doing it but I’m having to put them on because they are so premature.” Despite the tragedy, she praised Doris for being a good mum, noting that the cat even brought one of the kittens onto the bed — a heartbreaking moment that Katie interpreted as a sign to check the box, where she found the lifeless kitten.

“She trusts us and loves us so that’s good,” Katie added. “So I’ve got two latching on to her now — that’s the update.”
In the clip, Katie showed Doris calmly resting on the bed and affectionately praised her: “Hey Doris, good girl.”
The former glamour model also revealed she had cancelled a planned trip to the Isle of Wight to stay home and care for the fragile new arrivals, keeping her house warm with electric blankets to ensure the kittens’ survival.
Katie welcomed Doris and two other Sphynx cats into her home back in October 2024 — a move that sparked backlash from animal charities, one of which even offered money to dissuade her from owning pets.
Despite previous criticism, Katie appears fully devoted to her role as caretaker, saying she’s doing everything she can to keep the kittens alive.
