Molly-Mae Hague is struggling to understand the backlash she’s received online, after being branded ‘out of touch’ by fans despite opening up about her emotional challenges as a new mum.

The 26-year-old influencer, who found fame on Love Island and has since built a £6 million empire, broke down in a recent YouTube vlog. She said she felt like she hadn’t done “one fun thing” all summer, despite having travelled to Dubai, Disneyland, Budapest, and recently taking a luxury motorhome trip with partner Tommy Fury and their two-year-old daughter Bambi.
Many viewers were quick to criticise her for sounding ungrateful. A PR expert now warns that Molly-Mae may be losing her “golden girl” status, as she appears increasingly disconnected from her audience. “She was the sweet girl next door on Love Island, but private jets and Dior dresses just aren’t relatable in a cost of living crisis,” said Lynn Carratt.

Molly, however, insists she doesn’t understand what she’s done wrong. Sources close to her say the online trolling has taken an emotional toll. “She doesn’t get why she’s constantly in the firing line. She works hard and is proud of what she’s achieved,” said one insider.
Despite saying she “doesn’t care” about the criticism, Molly admits it’s made her hesitant to share personal experiences online. “Even with all the motherhood things I’m talking about, it’s just a lot,” she said.

She has also spoken candidly about the struggles of raising a toddler, revealing moments of doubt and exhaustion. “Every single thing I try and ask her to do, she won’t listen… I question, ‘am I actually cut out for this?’” she said in one emotional video.
The backlash comes as the star continues filming season two of her hit Amazon Prime documentary and builds her fashion label, Maebe. With her and Tommy’s relationship back on track following a brief split, fans are watching closely to see whether Molly-Mae can turn public opinion back in her favour.
