JoJo Siwa couldn’t hold back her feelings after Chris Hughes opened up in a new interview about the unexpected spark between them, describing her as “the most precious person” and a “blessing” in his life.
Their journey began publicly during the 2025 season of Celebrity Big Brother, where they first connected as friends. Shortly after the show ended, JoJo parted ways with then-partner Kath Ebbs, a split Kath claimed happened at the afterparty — with Chris allegedly in the next room.
Initially labelling each other “platonic soulmates”, JoJo and Chris eventually made their relationship official in June. Now, as Chris graces a new magazine cover, he’s opened up about their romance and the trolling he’s faced online.
“I’ve had more people call me ‘gay’ in the last two months of my life than ever before,” Chris said, unfazed. “As long as people aren’t being nasty, opinions are fine.”
Reflecting on his dating past, Chris admitted: “I started to think there was no one out there for me… Then meeting Joelle gave me this magical feeling. She is the most precious person. Life handed me a blessing in my lap.”
JoJo, clearly smitten, reposted Chris’ cover with heart-eyed emojis, writing: “What a man. Obviously beautiful from the outside… but his core is more beautiful than anyone could even begin to imagine.” She added: “This article captures a bit of that. I’m lucky I get to experience it in full every day.”
Even JoJo’s mum, Jessalynn Siwa, jumped in, teasing fans by saying: “The fun your mom and I are going to have planning that wedding is going to be off the charts!”
