Sam Thompson and Samie Elishi have ended their short-lived romance just weeks after their public display of affection set tongues wagging. The Made in Chelsea star and Love Island beauty were recently spotted in a tender embrace outside a London party, but the spark didn’t last long.
Sources close to the couple revealed they parted ways amicably, citing busy schedules as the main reason. Sam, who only ended a five-year relationship with Zara McDermott last December, had just started dipping his toes back into the dating scene.
Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant, Sam said he was finally ready to “get back out there” and admitted he felt good about moving on. But it seems fate had other plans.
Meanwhile, Samie shared on a separate podcast that she’s often had strong gut instincts about relationships that don’t work out – and this one was no different. “It’s like the universe is screaming at you,” she said, hinting that deep down she may have seen the end coming.
Despite no major drama, both have chosen to go their separate ways. Sam had even joked post-breakup that people could “see the sadness behind his eyes,” likening himself to a pilot-less plane unsure of where it’s going.
