Kelly Osbourne moved fans at Royal Ascot as she paid tribute to her late father Ozzy with a bat-shaped fascinator and cross necklaces while leading the star arrivals on day one of the prestigious event alongside the ever-elegant Helen Flanagan

Kelly Osbourne honoured her late father Ozzy Osbourne with a touching fashion tribute as she led the celebrity arrivals on the opening day of Royal Ascot on Tuesday.

Almost a year after the legendary rocker passed away at the age of 76, Kelly paid homage to the Prince of Darkness by wearing a striking bat-shaped fascinator and a collection of silver cross necklaces reminiscent of the jewellery her father famously wore throughout his career.

Dressed in a fitted black Karen Millen gown, the television personality embraced a sophisticated all-black look while attending the prestigious event’s exclusive Royal Enclosure alongside a guest.

Ozzy became forever associated with bats following the infamous on-stage incident in which he accidentally bit the head off one, believing it to be a rubber toy. The bizarre moment went on to become one of the most iconic episodes in rock history and helped define his larger-than-life image.

Before arriving at the Berkshire racecourse, Kelly delighted fans by sharing a glimpse of her personalised race day pass from inside her car.

Meanwhile, actress Helen Flanagan opted for a more understated appearance. The former Coronation Street star wore a £179 checked Karen Millen jacket and matching skirt, completing the look with a black-and-white hat adorned with a striped bow.

She added a playful touch with a houndstooth handbag and snakeskin heels, striking a balance between classic and contemporary style.

Among the first royals to arrive were Zara and Mike Tindall. Princess Anne’s daughter dazzled in a bespoke Rebecca Vallance belted dress paired with a matching fascinator, pale heels and an Anya Hindmarch ‘Mortimer’ clutch worth £1,150.

Mike coordinated with his wife in a blue waistcoat and pink tie, topped off with the traditional top hat required under Ascot’s strict dress code.

Elsewhere, socialite Lizzie Cundy caused a stir with a daring semi-sheer white lace ensemble, prompting questions over whether her revealing outfit met Royal Ascot’s famously strict standards.

Other notable guests included Bridgerton stars Golda Rosheuvel and Genevieve Chenneour, TV presenter Charlotte Hawkins in a lemon-coloured belted coat dress, and Ascot regular Georgia Toffolo, who stood out in a chainmail dress and dramatic headpiece.

As ever, Royal Ascot once again combined royal pageantry, high fashion and world-class racing, continuing a tradition that stretches back to 1711 and remains one of the highlights of the British summer season.
