Tom Holland has officially confirmed that he and Zendaya are married, ending months of speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.
The Spider-Man star, 30, made the revelation during a candid interview with Esquire UK, finally addressing rumours that had intensified after a series of AI-generated “wedding” images of the pair went viral earlier this year.
Asked whether he had needed to reassure relatives who might have believed they had missed the ceremony, Tom offered a telling response.

“No, because they were all there… That’s all you’ll get on that,” he said, confirming that the wedding had indeed taken place while making it clear he intended to keep the details private.
Rumours that the couple had already tied the knot first surfaced in February when Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, appeared at the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles and casually declared: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it!”
At the time, neither Tom nor Zendaya commented on the claim.
The actress, 29, first sparked engagement speculation when she debuted a dazzling Jessica McCormack ring at the Golden Globes in 2025. More recently, she has been spotted wearing a simple gold band alongside the eye-catching piece.
Speaking lovingly about his wife, Tom described their relationship as the foundation that helps them navigate the pressures of fame.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said.
“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”

He then added:
“So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
Tom also reflected on meeting Zendaya for the first time when they worked together on Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her,” he recalled.
“She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room. I remember when she closed the door to leave, Amy Pascal was immediately like, ‘Well, she’s getting the job.’”
The couple, who have been linked romantically since 2016, have famously kept their relationship away from the spotlight. However, they recently delighted fans by making a rare joint appearance at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day photocall in Madrid.
Tom previously explained that he avoids walking red carpets with Zendaya because he wants the focus to remain on her.
With both stars appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated The Odyssey, fans can expect to see much more of Hollywood’s golden couple in the coming months.
