Katie Price shared an emotional reunion with husband Lee Andrews after he was released from prison in Dubai, with the couple appearing happier than ever despite the many unanswered questions hanging over their relationship.
The former glamour model flew back to the UAE over the weekend after spending more than a month apart from Lee, who had been held in Dubai’s Al-Awir prison before being freed on Friday.
On Sunday evening, the pair were seen enjoying an affectionate reunion as Katie leapt into Lee’s arms and embraced him warmly. The loved-up couple were later spotted kissing, holding hands and sharing hugs as they headed to an outdoor rooftop cinema in Dubai to watch a World Cup match together.
Photos from the evening showed Katie looking overjoyed to be reunited with her husband after weeks apart, while Lee appeared to be in high spirits following his release.
The scenes marked a striking contrast to comments Katie made earlier this month, when she insisted she intended to confront her husband and demand answers over the controversy surrounding him.
At the time, she said: “I cannot just walk away from my marriage without seeing him again.”
Katie had also made it clear that she had plenty of questions for Lee when they finally met again. However, judging by their first outing together, serious discussions appeared to have been put on hold as the couple focused on enjoying their long-awaited reunion.
Lee, who describes himself as a businessman, was detained on May 14 over what was described as a private civil matter. One of the allegations against him is understood to involve a bounced cheque.
He had initially told Katie that he had been arrested on suspicion of spying. However, authorities in Dubai later confirmed that this was not the case.
Despite the controversy and reports surrounding Lee’s legal troubles, the couple appeared united during their first public appearance since his release, with their emotional display suggesting forgiveness may have already triumphed over doubt.
Just hours before seeing Lee, Katie confirmed she had arrived in Dubai by posting a selfie against the city’s famous skyline, ahead of what proved to be an emotional reunion with her husband.
